Musings by the Waters of Possum Creek with Brad Scott

In October, we will welcome Dr. Rev. Bradley "Brad" H. Scott. Brad writes the blog By the Waters of Possum Creek, where he shares stories, essays, and memories of his family, his community, and the place that shaped him. His writing reflects a deep appreciation for local history, family memory, and the traditions of Southwest Virginia.

Brad grew up along the North Fork of the Holston River in Scott Co., Virginia, “not far from Possum Creek,” as he would say. He currently serves as pastor of Pleasant Garden Methodist Church in Pleasant Garden, North Carolina.

We look forward to welcoming him and hearing his reflections on family, place, and the stories that connect us to our past.
