Monthly Meeting

Dear Members and Friends,

We hope you’ll join us for a special Volunteer Day at the Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society on Saturday, August 9th at 2:00 PM.

Instead of a guest speaker this month, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to help with projects around the museum—and we’d love your help!

There’s something for everyone, whether you prefer physical tasks, creative projects, or quiet, behind-the-scenes work.

Indoor Projects:

• Dust and clean glass showcases

• Rearrange furniture

• Sweep and mop floors

Outdoor Projects:

• Light landscaping

• Power washing (for the industrious!)

Creative & Organizational Tasks:

• Review photos for Volume II of our upcoming pictorial book

• Create or update object labels for museum displays

• Inventory books for sale

• Design a new exhibit—or refresh an existing one

Even an hour of your time makes a difference. Our building is beautiful and our collections are rich—but they rely on volunteers like you to keep things in order.

Come out and lend a hand—we’d love to see you!
