LCHGS Monthly Program & Meeting

Our September guest speaker will be Dr. Lucas Wilder. Dr. Wilder is a native of the Appalachian Mountains and holds degrees from Lincoln Memorial University, East Tennessee State University, and Mississippi State University, where he earned his Ph.D. His scholarship focuses on mountain warfare and the military campaigns that shaped East Tennessee and the surrounding region.

He has served with the National Park Service as an interpretive ranger for fifteen years and is the creator of the popular YouTube channel History Gone Wilder, known for its engaging, research-based explorations of Civil War history.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Wilder and hearing his insights on the Civil War in our region.
